Hello Everyone,

My name is Melvin Ngo and I am the Venture Captain for Saskatchewan's Pathfinder Society. I thought it would be fair to introduce myself and explain what we have been working on for the past year. I am a veteran of 20 years of Role playing games, dabbling into many variations but mainly playing Dungeons and Dragons or Pathfinder. I am a Saskatchewan born and raised person who has enjoyed watching the gaming community grow in our province. I live in Saskatoon and travel to Regina for various reasons on a regular occurrence (Go Riders) or to visit our capital city.

I have been working with Chad at ComicReaders (Downtown) and with Dana (Prairie Game Expo) to start a Regina Pathfinder Chapter. Its been a great success so far as all initiatives start small and slowly build over time. We have a dedicated group of players that come monthly for our sessions. Currently I run 2 sessions at Saskatoon's Dragon's Den, 1 session at Saskatoon's King Me! boardgamery, 1 session at Regina's ComicReaders (Downtown) per month. We also attend and/or run sessions at various play days, conventions, expos, and charity events. This is includes the Saskatoon Comic and Entertainment Expo, Prairie Game Expo, Prairiecon (Manitoba), Jimcon (Manitoba), and various others. We also look to expand and to attend a few others this year including the Regina Fan Expo, Gencon, Paizocon, and Tooncon.

We had changed the name of the Saskatoon Pathfinder Society to incorporate other major cities as well in the form of a provincial name, The Saskatchewan Pathfinder Society. We would like to one day expand to other major cities like Prince Albert, Moose Jaw, North Battleford or anywhere that people would like to play Pathfinder. However this generally falls upon myself and our Venture Lieutenant Tyson Pernitzky. We can't be everywhere at once but we are attempting to create a network so that every where can be covered and when people travel throughout the province they can still find a game session they can join in on. Our first expansion is in Regina and it's been a wonderful experience from our first visit to the Prairie Game Expo (Huge thanks to Dana and Chad) to our regular monthly sessions at ComicReaders Downtown.

I am opening this Thread so I can answer any questions people may have or at the very least point them in the right direction. We play Pathfinder sanctioned scenarios at all of our events and all players who participate are accredited for playing or Game Mastering on the Paizo official site. I do all the recording for those sessions and I am usually present at all the sessions, the exception is this years January PGX because I will be at a wedding. Pathfinder Society Organized Play has a set of rules regarding character creation, sources used, and overall guidelines like any other league or sanctioned play. Below are links to two important resources used for our sessions and inside the Organized Play Guide is the process for character creation in Appendix 1. I hope anyone interested in joining us gives it a try, if anyone has any questions they are welcome to send me an email at SaskatchewanPFS@outlook.com. There is also a link to our Facebook page where I post all of our sessions and which scenarios we are running for that day. I will check this forum regularly and I try to respond in a reasonable time but sometimes life does get busy. Thank you for reading this mini essay and I hope you have an amazing 2017.
