X-Wing - Refinery Raid - Sunday, December 16, 2012

DESCRIPTION
X-Wing is a new miniatures game from Fantasy Flight Games set in the Star Wars universe. Based on the Wings of War game system, X-Wing pits Rebels vs. Imperials in intense space combat. These are ship-to-ship dogfights in which players control the awesome ships of the Star Wars universe-- including X-Wing, Y-Wing, Tie Fighter and Tie Fighter Advanced. (Future expansions will include the A-Wing, Slave I, and even the Millennium Falcon.)

It is a time before the destruction of the first Death Star. (Luke and R2-D2 are not yet part of the Alliance and thus are not an option for players). The Rebel Alliance has learned of a refinery at the far edge of an Imperial sector. Intel suggests the refinery is guarded by a few seasoned pilots who are burdened with Academy Pilots sent to this distant station to gain experience.

At this stage of the conflict, the Rebels seek to disrupt trade and supply. This refinery, therefore, is a choice target. The Rebels dispatch two squads to attack and destroy the refinery. The Rebels are led by Biggs.

Pre-registration is required because there is a limited number of spots available.
