Local game designer Colter Hahn is bringing Crokinole Cards to Prairie Game Expo. Crokinole Cards introduces two new ways to play Crokinole. The first is a series of solitaire challenges. The second is a multiplayer, last-player-standing elimination. Colter will arrive at 10:00am and will be at the event until 12:00pm to teach you Crokinole Cards. He is bringing Crokinole boards and discs.
There is no need to sign up in advance but if you are interested in Crokinole Cards please respond to this post so he gets a sense of the amount of interest.
GAME: Crokinole Cards
ORGANIZER: Colter Hahn
TIME: 10:00am to 12:00pm; demos and play sessions throughout that 2-hour timespan
DURATION: 30 minute intervals
PLAYERS: Not applicable
The Crokinole Cards sounds interesting, I'll probably check it out at some point

Two more locally designed games will be at Prairie Game Expo: Dastardly Drivers and Crimewave.
As per the designer, Dastardly Drivers is basically Mario Kart as a card game. Players race around a modular track, playing cards to determine their movement, while avoiding obstacles and activating items to help them out.
Here is the description for Crimewave: "Denton City. A haven for some, a nightmare for others. Despite the police's best efforts to keep control, crime is on the rise. The opportunity is here: it's time for you to run this town, but you aren't the only one trying to do so. If you keep yourself safe and your enemies at bay, the city will be yours..."
GAME: Dastardly Drivers
ORGANIZER: Tyler G
TIME: 10:00am; demos and play sessions throughout the day

GAME: Crimewave
ORGANIZER: David
TIME: 10:00am; demos and play sessions throughout the day

I can add for Crimewave that it is a hidden information card game with a "draw a card, play a card" mechanic. You try to conceal what your card is while playing a card to learn or eliminate other players to earn points. You can also earn a point by surviving until the draw deck is empty and having the highest value card.
We are excited to show off both Crimewave and Dastardly Drivers!
We are now looking for people to schedule games, demo games, and any volunteers that can help with the registration table.
Sign up for the Cascadia tournament is now open. If you signed up in October please sign up again. Thanks!
We are looking for people who can demo Scout, Flamecraft, Cartographers and The Crew (either one).
Or if you'd like to demo another game please let me know.
John and I would like to be in the Cascadia tournament
I will teach Cascadia at 2pm
Chris and I are in for the Cascadia tournament. We can also provide one copy.
I'd like to enter the Cascadia tournament
I can run a game of Blood on the Clocktower from 1 - 3. Link: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/240980/blood-clocktower (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/240980/blood-clocktower)
We can host a maximum of 15 players.
I see you are looking for someone to demo Cartographers as well. I can run a game of Cartographers between 3 and 4 if that helps. An hour should be more than enough even if BotC runs a pinch late.
I cannot figure out how to sign up for stuff on the site here. But I would like to sign up for the Cascadia tournament and can bring my copy if one is still needed.

You just did it by saying you want to sign-up and someone will add you on!
Looking forward to this! I plan to bring out some newer dexterity games of mine like Nekojima and Table Golf Association (TGA). I also may try to get a longer format game going like war of the ring (card game perhaps), Dominant Species Marine, or Horizon Zero Dawn.
I, my husband Bryan, and our daughter Sara will be attending PGX.
Please sign me and Bryan up for the Cascadia tournament. :)
I just wanted to mention, in case it was needed, that David and I are still good to run demos of Dastardly Drivers and Crimewave (respectively) at 10am.
I've been wanting to try Blood on the clocktower for a long time. Now I can. Thanks for bring it out, Ryan.
In the quiet village of Ravenswood Bluff, a demon walks amongst you...
During a hellish thunderstorm, on the stroke of midnight, there echoes a bone-chilling scream. The townsfolk rush to investigate and find the town storyteller murdered, their body impaled on the hands of the clocktower, blood dripping onto the cobblestones below. A Demon is on the loose, murdering by night and disguised in human form by day. Some have scraps of information. Others have abilities that fight the evil or protect the innocent. But the Demon and its evil minions are spreading lies to confuse and breed suspicion. Will the good townsfolk put the puzzle together in time to execute the true demon and save themselves? Or will evil overrun this once peaceful village?
Blood on the Clocktower is a bluffing game enjoyed by 5 to 20 players on opposing teams of Good and Evil, overseen by a Storyteller player who conducts the action and makes crucial decisions. The goal of the game is to successfully deduce and execute the demons before they outnumber the townfolk.
During a 'day' phase players socialize openly and whisper privately to trade knowledge or spread lies, culminating in a player's execution if a majority suspects them of being Evil. Of a 'night' time, players close their eyes and are woken one at a time by the Storyteller to gather information, spread mischief, or kill.
The Storyteller uses the game's intricate playing pieces to guide each game, leaving others free to play without a table or board. Players stay in the thick of the action to the very end even if their characters are killed, haunting Ravenswood Bluff as ghosts trying to win from beyond the grave.
Please sign Jessica up for the Cascadia tournament. She is jealous of my PGX championship mug.
I can bring a copy of Cascadia for the tournament.
I've made some edits to the Crokinole Cards listing. Colter (the designer) will be at PGX from 10am to 12pm.
I'm keen on Dastardly Drivers, Crimewave, Crokinole Cards - all of it. I'd love to learn Cartographers (could do the post-Clocktower game with Ryan, I expect!), and The Crew sounds cool too. And we're already in for the tournament. Hoping to get lots of great gaming in!!
If there is table space, I would like to host an entry-level game of Twilight Imperium 4th Ed.
I would like to cap it at 5 players, with two spots already filled (Damien R. & Tyler P.) and three open for sign-up. Experienced players are welcome, but please be aware we are beginners :)
I would like to set up at 10:00 for anyone who needs to learn the rules and an 11:00 game start.
This is a great introductory video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_u2xEap5hBM
I've extended invites to the X-Wing, Star Wars Legion, Warhammer / 40K and other miniatures gaming groups.
Confirming my spot for TI. I'll probably bring some stuff along for the ride, depending on how the day goes.
A member of the Warhammer 40K Kill Team community in Regina is arranging a 4 to 8 player tournament for Kill Team at Prairie Game Expo.

12:15-1:00pm: Lunch
1:00pm-3:00pm: Round 2

Tables will include Octarius, Nachmund, LVO styled terrain, ITD, and potentially Beta Decima.
This tournament will have a minimum of 4 players and a maximum of 8 players.
A demo table will also be available.

HIGHLIGHTS:
(1) Chris S won the Cascadia tournament. Congratulations.
(2) Colter H, James H, and one other person who I can't recall won door prizes.
(3) Big thanks to anyone who taught games at Prairie Game Expo-- whether you were an official Prairie Game Expo Host or an attendee kind enough to invite people to your table. Folks who help set-up and tear down, worked the front desk, and, in general, were helpful also deserve thanks.
(4) Big thanks to the Wa Wa Shriners for being such good hosts.
(5) Thanks to SaskGames' volunteers for being an important part of this event. SaskGames' executive and volunteers have been stalwart partners with ComicReaders for 10+ years. Dana and I (Chad) from ComicReaders have really enjoyed working with all these fine people again. They often go unnamed and sometimes unnoticed but they know who they are and we know who they are and they are appreciated and respected by the whole ComicReaders team.
Also, if you have any thoughts or feedback about these events, send an email to PGX@SaskGames.com (PGX@SaskGames.com)[/font]
We're a little slow to promote the next PGX, which is on June 8th. Same place, same peeps. Love to see you there!
