Rules are easy:
1) You must post on this thread to sign up for a game, run a game, or just let us know you're attending.
2) You must attend the event and sign our log book with your SaskGames I.D.

Bonus entry to draw:
1) Schedule a game on the forum with open spots for sign-up.
2) All Volunteers will get a bonus entry (Table registration, Learn to Play, and event set up). We appreciate all the help!

We will randomly determine all winners after the event and let the winner know they've won. We will announce all winners in this forum.

Teaching easy / accessible games to people. "Learn to Play" is a PGX initiative to help introduce new games to PGX attendees. Game teachers will teach a single game to groups of people over a two-hour block. Please contact us here if you're interested in volunteering.

No sign up is necessary. Drop in to learn one of these games.

The category "board game" encompasses many a game, including several card-based games, and games that do not make use of a board! Party games, strategy games, family-friendly games, war games, dexterity games and even card games will be represented.

Listed below, you will find the list of games scheduled to be played at Prairie Game eXpo. You are welcome to post on this forum to sign-up for a game. Please ensure you arrive in time to play the game. If your plans change, please post here as well so your spot can be opened up again. This list, the times, and the players are subject to change.

You are also welcome to bring your own games to the event and play at your leisure, or show up with no games and simply see what you can get into.

PGX is a great place to showcase the many diverse miniature games in the hobby. PGX has hosted events for all sorts including Warhammer (Age of Sigmar, 40K, Kill Team, etc), Warmachine, Infinity, Star Wars X-Wing, Star Wars Legion, Gaslands & more!



GAME: Warhammer 40K Kill Team
ORGANIZER: Khoa

PLAYERS: 4 minimum. 8 maximum.

10:00-10:15am: registration
10:15-12:15pm: Round 1
12:15-1:00pm: Lunch

Tables will include Octarius, Nachmund, LVO styled terrain, ITD, and potentially Beta Decima.

A demo table will also be available.

GAME: Battletech
ORGANIZER: Lance M and The Mechwarriors of Saskatchewan
START TIME: 11:00AM
END TIME: ---
PLAYERS: No minimum. No maximum.
DETAILS: Lance M and members of the Mechwarriors of Saskatchewan will run demo(s) of Battletech starting at 11:00AM. This is a great chance to learn about the Battletech miniatures game. Existing players that have Battletech are also encouraged to attend Prairie Game Expo. If you are interested in learning about Battletech or are planning to attend to play Battletech please respond to this post. Posting in advance helps everyone plan for their day.

Battletech players will be running a scenario during this time, too, actively playing in between attendees asking questions and watching the demonstrations.

Please note we will have limited space for miniatures. Please contact us if you would like to run something.

Cascadia Tournament

WHEN: Saturday February 17, 2024
WHERE: Prairie Game eXpo
START TIME: 4:00 PM
DURATION: 60-120 minutes
MAXIMUM PLAYERS: 16

There are 2 rounds to the tournament. They consist of:
- 1 Preliminary Round (4 tables of up to 4 people) using only the base game
- 1 Championship Round (1 table of 4 people)

Tournament Format

-Players will be seated randomly at tables as evenly as possible.

The top scoring player from each table from round 1 will advance to the Championship Round.

PRIZES:

The winner receives a highly sought after PGX mug!

Time limit: No round will go longer than 60 minutes. Final determination will be based on number of victory points total among games played in a round.

If we do not make our 16 player roster we will make amendments on the fly.
