Happy holidays all,

This Christmas, Ridley Scott has brought the person of Napoleon back into the public eye with his major movie release of the same name. While the movie seems destined to be of minimal consequence, the same can not be said of actual man. His life has had a major impact on the shape of our world, even stretching here to North America. In 1803, Napoleon sold 530 million acres of land west of the Mississippi River, now known as the Louisiana Purchase, to the USA for $15 million. US President Thomas Jefferson then decided to send two explorers – Meriwether Lewis and William Clark – to take inventory of this great expanse.

In Lewis and Clark: The Expedition, each player manages an expedition intended to cross the North American continent. Their goal is to be the first to reach the Pacific. Each one has his own Corps of Discovery that will be completed by the Native Americans and the trappers met during the journey. He has to cleverly manage his characters and also the resources he finds along the way. Beware, sometimes frugality is better than abundance.

Of course, as always, there will be many other games available to be played.

!!! If you have a game you'd like to play and draw some attention to, feel free to volunteer for future Feature Game slots. Just drop me a note at feature_friday@hotmail.com.

Feature Friday meets at Southside Pentecostal Assembly (41 Birchwood Rd) from 7pm to midnight. There is parking and an entrance at the back of the building. A snack table will be set up so feel free to contribute a drink or something to munch on. And feel free to bring along friends (and to forward this invite).

Hope you'll be there,

Allan
