I just picked up the recently-reprinted steampunk/role-selection/area control game Mission: Red Planet so I'm bringing it out on Tuesday. Players are Victorian mining companies with their drills aimed at Mars (hence "steampunk"). Using role selection (a la Libertalia or Citadels) you get your astronauts onto rocketships bound for Mars (hopefully with nobody else sabotaging you in the process). The goal is to try and get the most astronauts in various regions to successfully mine the resources of the planet. The new version also adds event cards the moon Phobos.

It's got a few mechanisms at work but it isn't too bad so everyone's welcome to give it a try. It plays up to 6 and I'm fine with trying a full game. I've heard 6-player games take around 90min but since this is a teaching game it'll likely be a little longer.

GAME TITLE: Mission: Red Planet

GAME TITLE: Small World (with expansions)
TEACHER: DCStyles
START TIME: 8:00pm
DURATION: 90 min.
# OF PLAYERS: 3-5 players

Going to host a game of Small World at 8:00pm with 5 of the mini expansions:  Be Not Afraid, Cursed!, Grand Dames, A Spider's Web & Royal Bonus.  I set the players at 3 to 5 because only 2 players isn't quite as enjoyable as the multi-player experience.
My collection of board games:  http://www.boardgamegeek.com/collection/user/chowman13     Feel free to request something and I'll bring it out!
