I'm new to the scene here, but I haven't been able to come out yet. I'd love to be in for that last spot on Impulse at 8:30 - any chance I can squeak in?

I've put you down for Impulse.  Welcome to the site and to the community.   :)

Hi Derek, looks like you found your way over here from BGG.  Welcome to Regina.

I'm also bringing out Games Magazine's "Game of the Year" winner Garden Dice along with its Card Expansion. It's a dice-rolling game that features set collection and tile placement. Players are gardeners sharing a communal plot of land and each person rolls dice to either get seeds, plant seeds, water seeds or harvest vegetables. Based on the placement of the tiles and the points of the crops you can create chains to water/harvest multiple seeds/veggies at the same time but other players can mooch off of your hard work, too. Finally, there are special tiles including birds and rabbits that you can use to ruin/steal crops and screw over other players - adding a nice bit of competitive "take that" to gardening. We'll also be using the Card Expansion that adds action and event cards to the game.

It's got a maximum of 4 players, is fairly easy to learn (though there's more to it than you'd expect) and everyone is welcome to give it a try.

(4 players, 60 minutes at 6:30)

I've noticed that Evolution has been brought out a few times the last while. I have really been wanting to give it a shot. Any chance that one of the lucky owners could bring it out to play earlier in the night? if not that's fine, just thought I would throw it out there...

I'd like to try Garden Dice, but I've already got something at 6:30. Next time. :)
Let me know if you want to me to bring out a specific game: Game List

Jim and I will be coming with a few games but are thinking of having an earlier night so we'll just be playing it by ear.  We'll have Castles of Mad King Ludwig , New Dawn and Alea Iacta Est with us.

I am willing to teach a couple games this evening:

Terra Mystica at 6:30, it runs about 120 minutes, 2 - 5 players, http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/120677/terra-mystica

Euphoria: Build a Better Dystopia at 8:30, it runs about 90 minutes, 2 - 6 players, http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/133848/euphoria-build-better-dystopia

Here is my collection, trades, and wishlist on bgg if something should peak your interest!
