Hello all,

March is already here. Well, not actually, but you would be forgiven if you thought so from the weather outside :D. However, what will be coming in March is the theatrical release of the second installment of Denis Villeneuve's adaption of Frank Herbert's Dune.

So anticipation of the movie's upcoming release, February's Feature Game will be Dune: Imperium - Uprising (also a sequel). Dune: Imperium Uprising is a standalone spinoff to Dune: Imperium that expands on that game's blend of deck-building and worker placement. In Dune: Imperium Uprising, you want to continue to balance military might with political intrigue, wielding new tools in pursuit of victory. Spies will shore up your plans, vital contracts will expand your resources, or you can learn the ways of the Fremen and ride mighty sandworms into battle!

If you own, the first release of Dune: Imperium, and and are open to teaching it to other's, bring it out. I personally don't own this release, but I've played it and it's very enjoyable. It would be great if there is more than one table of Dune: Imperium being played.

And if you don't think Dune is your cup-of-tea, as always, there will be many other games available to be played.

!!! If you have a game you'd like to play and draw some attention to, feel free to volunteer for future Feature Game slots. Just drop me a note at feature_friday@hotmail.com.

Feature Friday meets at Southside Pentecostal Assembly (41 Birchwood Rd) from 7pm to midnight. There is parking and an entrance at the back of the building. A snack table will be set up so feel free to contribute a drink or something to munch on. And feel free to bring along friends (and to forward this invite).

Hope you'll be there,

Allan

For those of you who missed the theatrical release of the first installment of Dune (or just want to see it again), you're in luck!
Dune is being re-released this weekend on a short run at the IMAX theatre in Regina.
