Magic the Gathering: Casual Play August 2016 Schedule


DESCRIPTION
An opportunity for players of various skill levels to play in a low stress/non-competitive environment. New players, or people that are interested in learning how to play are welcome. If there is enough interest to learn how to play in a limited format then a sealed will be run with instructions to help out learn skills to help with any future prereleases a player may want to attend.

Each week will have a different format of play, including but not limited to: Commander, Archenemy, Cube Draft etc.

Organizers will have extra decks on hand in case newcomers would like to come and learn how to play but do not possess any cards of their own.

The following formats will be played in August:
Commander is played approximately every other week, for general rules for Commander in regards to deck construction please check this link: http://magic.wizards.com/en/gameinfo/gameplay/formats/commander.

Conspiracy Draft What's the best way to open up a box of Conspiracy? By drafting it! Join in on helping Chris and Lareina open for their collection of Conspiracy cards. No fee, just come and draft for fun, all cards will be returned to Chris and Lareina at the end of the night, sleeves and lands will be provided. 12 player maximum, please let Lareina know that you would like to attend to be put on the list.

Tiny Leaders is a smaller version of Commander designed to be played one vs one. Players have 49 cards in their deck, and their Commander outside of the deck for a total of 50 cards. Please check the link for rules.

DATE & TIME
Casual Play for Magic the Gathering will run every Wednesday @ 7pm until after close (it can run until around 10pm as long as a staff member is participating)
August 3: Commander
August 10: Tiny Leaders
August 17: Commander
August 24: Commander
August 31: Conspiracy Take the Crown Draft (no fee)

There is no player maximum for the regular events but there is an 12 player maximum on the Conspiracy Draft, please contact Lareina to be put on the list.

I did not goof with this month's schedule, Commander will be played on back to back weeks due to the Conspiracy release.

Edit: I just remembered that there are 36 packs in a box of Conspiracy, so, seating will be a maximum of 12 not 8 as I had originally stated.

I would be in for the conspiracy up for a conspiracy draft  on one of the Wednesdays that commander is on

Corey, the new Conspiracy doesn't drop until the 26th, which is why I made Commander back to back weeks, in order to play it on the 31st.

Reminder: for the Conspiracy Draft there is no fee because we are keeping the cards, also there is a max seating of 12 (technically 10 if you count myself and Chris), so you need to let me know if you are participating or not.
