Strategy Saturday - Argyle Road Baptist Church - Saturday, March 8, 2014

Hey everyone,

March is here and next weekend will be Strategy Saturday.  I've been hesitating to send out this announcement since there was some question whether we would be actually having a games night this month.  The church's basement has suffered from a water main break and is not available for the next number of months.  However, I stopped by the church and there is a room upstairs that should work just fine.  So this month everything is the same - except we're upstairs.

It is March and for the past few years we've featured a military theme game for this month.  However, I don't see myself playing in this game this Saturday as I also have a soccer game midway through the evening which I will need to slip out to.  But that won't prevent me from setting up a game, explaining the rules, and getting things on their way.

I haven't yet selected which game I plan to feature.  Posting feedback as to which one to choose would be appreciated.  These are the options that I'm presenting:

• Axis & Allies Europe
  
• Risk: 2210
  
• Axis & Allies
  
• Shogun (aka: Samurai Swords, Ikusa)
  
• Axis & Allies Pacific
  
• Risk: Lord of the Rings
  

I've listed these games in order of what grabs my interest, but I've only done that so you will have an idea as to what I may be choosing if it's left up to me.  I will bring a few games so that if there is enough interest in 'wargaming' we won't need to exclude anyone.

Of course other games (ie. not war games) will still be played so don't feel you should be leaving your own games at home. Bring them down and have fun.

Strategy Saturday will be at Argyle Road Baptist Church (3510 Argyle Rd) from 7pm to midnight.  As usual we'll have our snack counter open so feel free to contribute a drink or something to munch on.  And feel free to bring along friends (and to forward this invite).
