For information on the Friday Night Magic promotion please Click Here The store only has 8 promos to give out every week, if there are more than 8 players, then promos will go to the Top 4 records with the rest of the promos randomly distributed to the remaining player pool.


The format for FNM at ComicReaders will be both Standard and Modern.

Play begins for Standard at 6pm. We will now run 4 rounds as a maximum even if we have more than 16 players.

Players with a winning record will receive packs of the latest Magic release as prizes. We will now be using a structured payout system.

4 wins will payout 8 packs
3 wins 1 draw will payout 6 packs
3 wins will payout 4 packs
2 wins 1 draw will payout 2 packs
2 wins 1 draw will payout 3 packs (only if there are 3 rounds)
2 wins will payout 2 packs (only if there are 3 rounds)

Alternatively, we are now offering store credit towards MTG singles, for every pack a player wins, they can opt to take $2 per pack as credit instead of receiving packs.

DESCRIPTION
Sunday Magic at ComicReaders Downtown is now Draft unless there is a Game Day or Prerelease. 

Drafting is a great way to learn to play competitive Magic without needing to have a large collection, and a great way to acquire new cards. We always draft with the most recent set. Drafts will now be a maximum of 3 rounds, and there will be no pod mixture if there are multiple drafting pods.

Players with a winning record will receive packs of the latest Magic release as prizes, the prize structure is as follows:
3 wins will payout 4 packs
2 wins 1 draw will payout 3 packs
2 wins will payout 2 packs

Alternatively, we are now offering store credit towards MTG singles, for every pack a player wins, they can opt to take $2 per pack as credit instead of receiving packs.

Magic the Gathering: Casual Play October 2017 Schedule

DESCRIPTION
October will be the Cube Draft format. The cube will be provided by Gary Wittal

It will feature Grand Melee style play (players can only attack to their left, and defend from their right)

Players will start with 30 life, and drafted decks are to be 50 card minimum.

Casual Play for Magic the Gathering will run every Wednesday @ 6:30pm until after close (it can run until around 10pm as long as a staff member is participating)

It's a special Dino-sized Magic weekend. ComicReaders will be holding a Dino Draft Weekend, players will draft 4 packs instead of 3 packs.
