Not Space Empires 4X, but Empires of the Void

Last night we played a 4 p game of Empires of the Void. It is a 4X game but playable in 3 hours, which is what it took us with 4 new players (inc rules explanation). Robert emerged victorious with his "Crush all before me" strategy, while my "Hey, let's you and me be friends" finished a close second.

Last night it was Descent: Journeys in the Dark with Descent: Roads to Legend. We are rolling along through Silver level, almost 3/4ths the way through. This is my second campaign and is one of my favourite games.

Vegas Showdown  -  I really enjoy this game, it has nothing new, but it is a really enjoyable play. Last night we played 5 player and "Big Money" Conal beat me by one point. We had some time left so we finished with
For Sale in which Brent "Gary doesn't lie" beat me by a buck...

Rolling Freight - new game from APE Games that I got on KS. It is my third play since I received it and all three have been enjoyable, although my dice rolling ability sucks... Did I mention I finished last?

The terrain always changes when you close the window and restart. At work I had a cars that would regularly go over 500, at home I was about 45 generations in and the sticking point was a steep wall at 422. I was watching the overall average climb until it was over 300, but the furthest distance was still only 422.
