Lori, please let me know the next time you're bringing out Gold West. I'm already booked up for Tuesday but I've heard really good things about it. So I'd like to give it a try at some point.

I'm bringing out the excellent viking game Blood Rage. It's a hybrid between guys-on-a-map-fighting/area control and euro game mechanisms like card drafting. Unlike most games of this genre, you don't just get points for killing your opponents; purposefully having your own vikings and monsters die gloriously in battle is a potential game-winning strategy. Plus it looks fantastic!

I've got the 5-player expansion so we can play with a full 5 players. It's supposed to be around 90min but with 5 players and teaching it'll be a little over 120min.

I am also bringing Tash-Kalar with expansions.

I'm booked for this night but please let me know when you're bringing Tash-Kalar out, again. It looks great and I've been wanting to try it.

Cool - I'd be up for playing sometime, too. Though it's been a while so I'm likely reeeeeeally rusty.

I haven't played Go in years but this makes me want to play again. Just not against Google's AI, of course.  :D

I'm going to bring out the (relatively) new dice worker-placement game The Voyages of Marco Polo on Tuesday. Players are Marco Polo's associates, traversing the eastern world in search of trading to complete contracts, accumulate wealth and resources and ultimately have the most victory points. It has several twists on other dice worker-placement games. While cities remain in the same places (and there are goals associated with setting up trading posts), their benefits are completely modular meaning they'll be different every game. Plus each player gets a character with a power so good you'd think it would break the game - but all of the powers are like that (and all of them are different).

This game is a little more complex than most other dice worker-placement games. Anyone who likes games a little heavier than medium weight is welcome to give it a try. It'll be a teaching game which will add a little bit of time but it should still be around or just over the 2 hour mark. It's a great game with a lot of interesting play
