Magic: The Gathering Schedule For December 2023


DESCRIPTION

ComicReaders Downtown has less than usual Magic: The Gathering events in December due to the increased demand on staffing during the busy holiday shopping season; but, we do have some Legacy, Commander, Modern, and Draft events for this month.

Each event is limited to 24 people.

Pre-registration is required to ensure your spot. These event are promoted on the MTG Regina Facebook Group. All players MUST register using the Magic Companion app. Registration codes for each event are listed below. Use those codes to register for the events. Do not respond to this post to register for the event. Do not assume you can walk into the store the day of the event to register.

A list of registered players will not be included on SaskGames, but we will do our best to update the post when events are full.

Legacy Night
Our Legacy events are a swiss-style tournament. Details about the Legacy format can be found on this official Wizards of the Coast page.
Prizes: Winning records get you store credit that can be used to purchase MTG singles.

Yu-Gi-Oh Schedule For December 2023


DESCRIPTION
In December, we are trying something different for Yu-Gi-Oh. We are calling this a Store Championship event. This is a constructed event, meaning players bring their own prepared deck. There is a $25 entry fee. Each player will receive OTS packs and their choice of one pack from the following sets: Valiant Smashers, Age of Overlord, Soulburning Volcano, or Duelist Nexus.

Players will also be entered into a random draw for a couple Judge promo cards we have, and our top 3 players in the tournament will receive Yu-Gi-Oh metals: gold for the winner, silver for second, and bronze for the third.

Each event is limited to 30 people.

Pre-registration is required to ensure your spot. This event is promoted on the Regina YuGiOh. All players MUST register in advance by responding to the event posts on the Regina YuGiOh. Do not respond to this post to register for the event. Do not assume you can walk into the store the day of the event to register.

ComicReaders Downtown will be hosting three Yu-Gi-Oh events this month. We have two Locals tournaments and the 25th Anniversary Release Celebration.

Locals are constructed tournaments, meaning players bring their own tournament legal decks.

The 25th Anniversary Release Celebration is a special constructed tournament. Players receive three packs of the 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection and can use cards from those packs in their decks.

Each event is limited to 24 people.

Pre-registration is required to ensure your spot. This event is promoted on the Regina YuGiOh. All players MUST register in advance by responding to the event posts on the Regina YuGiOh. DESCRIPTION
ComicReaders Downtown will be hosting four Yu-Gi-Oh events this month. We have two Locals tournaments and two Premiere events.

Locals are constructed tournaments, meaning players bring their own tournament legal decks.

Premiere! Events are events that provide the opportunity to preview an upcoming set at an Official Tournament Store (OTS). Premiere! Events are primarily non-competitive events that ask for a high standard of sportsmanship from the Duelists. Premiere! Events are run as casual events, meaning that the level of rules enforcement is light to moderate. The primary goal of Premiere! Events is to encourage all participants to have an enjoyable experience while introducing them to the newest Booster Set release.

Each event is limited to 24 people.

Pre-registration is required to ensure your spot. This event is promoted on the Regina YuGiOh. All players MUST register in advance by responding to the event posts on the Regina YuGiOh.
