Miniatures Games / Re: Great War Canadians
May 09, 2016, 05:26:23 PM
Thanks!

I finished up another battalion over the weekend:

Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry

Detail of their formation patch and shoulder title.

More about the unit can be found on my blog here:

Finishing up the Patricias also finished off the 7th Infantry Brigade of the  3rd Canadian Division...

the whole brigade

Miniatures Games / Great War Canadians

Back to working on Great War Canadians for my Vimy project. Here are the latest:

The Royal Canadian Regiment

Detail showing their formation patch. Grey rectangle (for the Third Division) surmounted by a green circle (green for the senior brigade in the division, circle for the senior battalion in the brigade).

Some Command figures - these will likely be part of the 7th Brigade and 3rd Division Command elements.

...and just to get into the spirit of the season... Here are some zombies I finished up yesterday:

Most of these are from Cold War Miniatures (except the chicken mascot zombie that's front and center - that I noticed AFTER taking the picture that I hadn't actually finished his base!? DOH!? Anyway, he's from Victory Force Miniatures...).

...and nothing says "Festive Holiday Season" like two guys on a motorcycle with an RPG.

Happy Holidaze everyone!

Thanks Lance!

Looking Good, Mike! Keep 'em coming!

Anyone else out there painting?

I finished up a few Russian MVD over the weekend...

...and a Spear General element for a Spartan DBA army.

(Among other things...)

A few more items I've been working on...

Anyone else? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Surely somebody else on this forum actually paints miniatures...?

Me-i'm painting rivers for a big flames of war game I want to play.

You could post them here when you're done... Or start a new thread for showing off terrain projects?!

Well this is the Miniature Games board - not all of you can be using pre-painted stuff...? Or committing the heresy of playing with (gasp!) unpainted miniatures!?

So what HAVE you been painting lately? Doesn't matter what game it's for... Doesn't matter what scale... Doesn't matter how "good" it is... If it's finished, lets see it!

I'll start... This week I've been working on 28mm figures from Eureka Miniatures USA. Most of them are Modern French Foreign Legionnaires - and a few Cold War Commies in Chemical Suits... I will be using all of these with Force on Force.

This was the first of the Foreign Legionnaires I painted up - a sniper in the French Desert Pattern camouflage.

Another sniper - this time in the French Forest/Central European Pattern camouflage which I plan to do most of my Foreign Legionnaires in.

and another one...

After that I started painting them in bigger batches.... I have three more fire teams of four to finish up.

Also I knocked off a couple of Cold War Commies in Chemical kit. I think my next order to Eureka will be to pick up a platoon of these!

So what are the rest of you painting?!
