ADDITIONAL DETAILS
If you have questions, respond to this thread.
Pre-registration is NOT required.
There is typically a bit of space available for other gaming during X-Wing.
I received a Spring Tournament Kit for X-Wing. I don't think there would be sufficient time on a Wednesday night for a tournament. Please discuss amongst yourselves as to when you might like to hold the tournament. I think no Saturdays are currently spoken for in May, for example.
I would love a Sunday, personally, but I get the feeling that's a no-go
Saturday or Sunday would be sweet with me, preferably before regionals May 28th to get some practice in!
Not necessarily. If it was a Sunday, how many people would be available? More than a Sarurday?
Saturday's or Sunday's would work for me .. So long as there's a little bit of notice and it isn't Mother's Day.
all days are equal for me, just depends if I am on shift or not.
A Sunday would be okay, I think.
Would Sunday the 15th work for the majority of players and you Chad? It's the only weekend this month that isn't Mothers Day, Victoria Day or PGX.
Or Saturday the 14th? Looking at the store hours we may need more than 5 hours for the tourney to run to get 3 Swiss rounds and a final in. Saturday we'd have an extra 2 hours.
Either of those would work for me.
It will have to be a Saturday then if more than 5 hours are needed.
Also, at this point, as people may have noticed, I haven't been very active lately. As usual, home life has become a bit more hectic and it's been harder for me to concentrate on everything at once. I'll still be making it out when I can, but I'd love it if someone would like to take over organizing events. It's actually not that heavy, I just personally can't make the time for it. Basically it's just communicating with the stores each month about what days/times work for everything, and communicating about the possibility of tournaments.
I should know by now that every time I take on a new project after a few months things just end up being to hectic for me to focus on it.
~shrug~
I would also be down for a store tournament that weekend! I would love to practice my Regionals list (spoiler alert, there's an X-wing). Also I'll be posting this in the Facebook group as well but Stewart and I are car pooling up to Saskatoon for Regionals on the Saturday, and if anyone else who is going would like to hitch a ride, you're more than welcome!
I may take you guys up on that ride offer if my gf doesn't come up with me
I think I'm actually gonna be able to make it out tonight.
Is Saturday the 14th a good tourney date for you Chad? The 21st could be an option as well, although there may be players out of town for the long weekend. I'm willing to T.O. it if you need someone provided I can still play (we can have an alt. T.O. for my games).
I can be an alternate to if needed for you Derek.
So is the Store Championship on the 14th? My co-worker and I will have to book the day off so we were just hoping we could know ASAP
May 14th works for a tournament. We're open 10am - 6pm.
There are no other gaming events scheduled so we have lots of room.
And the kit we have is the Spring Tournament Kit, not a Store Championship kit.
Cool stuff, we could do registration at 10 then and start the games by about 10:30, should give us plenty of time to get 3 Swiss rounds in if it's 8 players or less, 4 rounds for more than 8 with a final.
Perfect.
I will alert the facebook groups about the tourney. Rob that'd be great if you could help me out as a judge.
The thread for the tournament is now up. Feel free to continue discussion over there.

Anybody want to meet early tomorrow? Want to get some tournament practice in.
Anyone want to meet early tomorrow?
I'll be there after 7:00. I'm assuming a lot of people might be looking to practice for Regionals? If so and someone wants to practice against a specific imperial list, I *think* I can build most of them except anything that requires cards from the carrier expansion or whatever. Let me know if you wanna see a specific team! Of course, not that I'll fly it as good as a "pro" player, but whatevs ;p
I'll be there around 7 as well. Ty, do you have Howlrunner, 3 black squad ties and 2 omega squad Tie F/O's? I'd like to practice against a Tie Crackshot swarm.
Yep. What upgrades do they run (if any)?
Just 6 doses of crack... don't worry about owning the cards, we can proxy
Sounds good. I think I only have 1 or 2 of those. Oddly enough, I have 3 cards for black squad, but only 2 bases. As it is, I'll snag an extra TIE when I'm at the store, since I have three originals and three FOs.
