(https://sask.games/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fcf.geekdo-images.com%2Fimages%2Fpic70547_md.jpg&hash=809033d09fed38a658b830b86c9992f229c3e704) | Shadows over Camelot is a cooperative/semi-cooperative hand management and deduction-based board game for 4-7 players.
Each player represents a knight of the Round Table and they must collaborate to overcome a number of quests - ranging from defeating the Black Knight to the search for the Holy Grail. Completed Quests place white swords on the Round Table; failed Quests add black swords and/or siege engines around Camelot. The knights are trying to build a majority of white swords on the Table before Camelot falls.
On each knights' turn they take a 'heroic action', moving to a new Quest, building their hand or playing cards to advance the forces of good. However, they must also choose one of three evil actions, each of which will bring Camelot closer to defeat.
Moreover, one of the knights may be a Traitor - pretending to be a loyal member of the party but secretly hindering their fellows in subtle ways, biding their time, waiting to strike at the worst possible moment...
But enough words... Don your cloak, climb astride your warhorse and gallop into the Shadows to join us in Camelot!

The game features stand-up Cowboy Counters artistically designed with full color artwork. There are 26 Historical and Hollywood style scenarios in the game. Six double-sided geomorphic map boards create the battlegrounds of the Old West.
The game rules allow you to pick up and play the game in minutes. The optional rules add chrome but still keeps the game very playable. The "Old West" personalities are there; Wyatt, Doc, Jesse, Billy, and many other legends of the Wild West. Some of the variables include townsfolk, horses, etc.
Bank robberies, cattle rustling, stagecoach holdups, jail breaks, lynch mobs, and many other western actions are depicted. It pits opposing sides against each other, bringing to life the daring and dastardly deeds of heroes and villains when the way of the gun ruled the day. Included are the lawmen, gunfighters, gamblers, and ne'er do wells who knew how to handle themselves during a gunfight. Also the town folk will show up to add a much needed gun to the fight.
Chad Boudreau will run Cowboys with modified advanced rules. He is developing a set of rules for a miniatures game set in the Old West. Those rules are a combination of Cowboys' advanced rules, and some of the rules he likes from Warhammer Historical Old West rules. This new rule-set adds new thematic and strategic elements to Cowboys. But don't let the term "advanced" scare you away! This version of Cowboys still plays fast and furious with plenty of tension.
This game returns to Chewsday Challenge due to popular demand!

Might as well try Cowboys too - sign me up :)

ya might as well sign me up too for cowboys
I will bring Lords of Waterdeep with the Undermountain expansion at 6:30, plays 2 to 6 people in about 90 min. If there's interest I will run a game with the Skullport expansion after.
If time allows, I'd like to run two scenarios of The Cowboys. The first will be a bank robbery or maybe a jail break. But for the second I want to do an old-fashioned meet-in-the-street shoot-out. The game has an interesting mechanic for who gets the drop-- i.e. who has the fastest draw. It will be interesting to see who survives the initial salvo, with the survivors needing to decide if they run for cover or hold their ground and go out in a blaze of glory. It will be a scenario in which only those with grit-- true grit-- avoid a trip to Boot Hill.
I had a lot of fun with Nation last week, so I'm going to run it again, 6:30, 4 players, 75 minutes to judge by last time.
This is what happens when I make plans too early, Chris and I have to bow out of Shadows over Camelot, have a family function to attend. Sorry!
Sign me up for Shadows, please!
I am also going to bring Power Grid: Japan
6 players, 90 minutes, 830 start time.
After I play Japan, I will have played all 18 boards for Power Grid! Love that game so much! lol

In this game, the players are powerful lords vying for control of this great city. Its treasures and resources are ripe for the taking, and that which cannot be gained through trickery and negotiation must be taken by force!
In Lords of Waterdeep, a strategy board game for 2-5 players, you take on the role of one of the masked Lords of Waterdeep, secret rulers of the city. Through your agents, you recruit adventurers to go on quests on your behalf, earning rewards and increasing your influence over the city. Expand the city by purchasing new buildings that open up new actions on the board, and hinder – or help – the other lords by playing Intrigue cards to enact your carefully laid plans.
During the course of play, you may gain points or resources through completing quests, constructing buildings, playing intrigue cards or having other players utilize the buildings you have constructed. At the end of 8 rounds of play, the player who has accrued the most points wins the game.

Done. There is now 1 spot open in Shadows Over Camelot and The Cowboys.
Sign me up for the Cowboys, please.
I'll go into Shadows, if there's still space.
Im in for Nation.
I have to cancel my attendance at Chewsday Challenge. I've cancelled the game of The Cowboys. Shadows Over Camelot will continue. Kevin McLean is stepping in as teacher. He is a long-time friend of ComicReaders Downtown and is very familiar with the game. You're in good hands. This means there is still 1 spot open in Shadows Over Camelot if anyone wants to hop in.
Put me down for lords of waterdeep please.
Time for some Political Backstabbing & Intrigue...
(https://sask.games/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fcf.geekdo-images.com%2Fimages%2Fpic1781098_md.jpg&hash=32694e2375ceff22d12323ea8d8743316568bc57) | "The way to have Power is to take it" - William "Boss" Tweed
Tammany Hall is a game of backstabbing, corruption, temporary alliances, and taking power at all costs. If you want to rule New York, you are going to need to play the city's growing immigrant populations against one another. Help the immigrant groups who owe you political favors, call in those favors to slander your rivals, and win elections.
In Tammany Hall, players help immigrants settle in New York, collect political favors from those immigrant groups, send ward bosses into Manhattan to secure votes, and slander political opponents. An election is held at the end of every fourth year, and the player who uses his power base best will be elected mayor. The Mayor's grip on the city is tenuous at best. After every election, the Mayor must pay off his political rivals by placing them in offices that they can wield to try to take control of the city. Every player is your friend, every player is your enemy.
Tammany Hall was the political machine that dominated New York City politics by organizing the immigrant populations. While the organization's influence spanned from its founding in the 1790s to its collapse in the 1960s, this game is set in lower Manhattan roughly between 1850 and 1870 – the era of Boss Tweed.
