Magic the Gathering: Casual Play October 2016 Schedule
DESCRIPTION
An opportunity for players of various skill levels to play in a low stress/non-competitive environment. New players, or people that are interested in learning how to play are welcome. If there is enough interest to learn how to play in a limited format then a sealed will be run with instructions to help out learn skills to help with any future prereleases a player may want to attend.
Each week will have a different format of play, including but not limited to: Commander, Archenemy, Cube Draft etc.
Organizers will have extra decks on hand in case newcomers would like to come and learn how to play but do not possess any cards of their own.
The following formats will be played in October:
Commander is played approximately every other week, for general rules for Commander in regards to deck construction please check this link: http://magic.wizards.com/en/gameinfo/gameplay/formats/commander.
Kaladesh 2-Headed Giant Sealed players that want to participate can buy a leftover Prerelease pack for $25. Using cards from both packs combined, players will make two 40 card decks to play against other teams. Newer players will be partnered with a more experienced player. We'll have 12 packs put aside for this event, but more players can come and participate as long as we have packs left.
(Silly) Stipulation Cube Draft is a way to draft in a stress free way. Drafts typically require a lot of homework of knowing what is in the set but a stipulation will dictate how a player must try to fulfill a set of criteria for a booster pack. Our stipulations are not super serious, some require to look at artwork or a certain type of card. Our cube is not a typical cube either, the cards are from Conspiracy, Conspiracy Take the Crown, Modern Masters, Modern Masters 2015 and Eternal Masters. Note: This format is semi-limited, we prepare for 10, but you must let Lareina know that you are interested in coming to play.
Tiny Leader Cube a different kind of cube with stronger cards, 18 card "boosters", 49 card decks, and 30 life. There is an 8 player maximum, so please let Lareina know if you want to participate. This cube is provided by Gary Wittal.
DATE & TIME
Casual Play for Magic the Gathering will run every Wednesday @ 7pm until after close (it can run until around 10pm as long as a staff member is participating)

There is no player maximum for the regular events
There is a soft cap of 12 players for the Kaladesh 2-Headed Giant sealed
There is a soft cap of 10 players for Stipulation Cube Draft please contact Lareina to be put on the list.
There is a maximum cap of 8 players for Commander Cube Draft
