Title: Any Infinity Players in the 306
Post by: FlyDog on June 25, 2015, 08:59:58 AM
Hey dudes,

I've been looking at the Infinity rules for awhile now.  Dynamic system, cool cyberpunk/anime setting.  But now the real question, does anyone here play it?

The only person I know that plays is from Winnipeg

I'm slowly trying to sell my droogs on it.  As I really like the reactive system where you have to pay attention and make decisions even during the opposing turn.  Plus any game where cyberpunk hackers and drones fight crazy space Russians and their Scottish werewolf allies....

AJ, I've ordered in the Ariadna Merovingian starter. Care for a game one of these days?

That would be great. I don't have much for terrain yet myself.

I haven't talked to him for awhile but Mike Nielsen had some Aleph too.

Sounds like a half assed plan. Will post back when I've got them painted and ready.

Haha, those BoW bums almost had me wanting one too. I suppose we shouldn't both have Ariadna though eh  :)

That would be ideal.  You know a dude with some ALEPH, who do you rock?

I just read that the other day, I've slowly been discovering the fluff only little blurbs off the website though. 1d4chan had some good info too. I'll have to get the book I suppose

1d4chan actually has a pretty solid fluff bit.  The N3 book does an amazing job with the fluff, really gets you into the faction.

Does comicreaders have anything in stock? I wasn't sure if they could get it even, couldn't get some malifaux I was after but that's good you can order it at least.

Cool, when my dudes are built let's have a row.  Thinking Comicreaders as a venue as that way folks can see, and get sucked in.

Thanks for all the love for ComicReaders, FlyDog.
I do have access to the Infinity line and can bring stuff in if it is available.
Related, we just got the two-player box set for Infinity. It's called Icestorm if you want to do some online research.
We can get the core rulebook, too. I'm pretty sure I had one recently...

So I just caught the tail end of the Infinity seminar at Gen con.  Stuff is looking pretty awesome, and Human Sphere book should be out for christmas
Oh and they pushed a few sectorials back to the next book which I think is Acheron Falls. Shasvastii because they want to revamp the models like how the morats turned out, and the Merovian so they can do something special with the rules for em

Would be there be any interest in an Infinity event at the upcoming Prairie Games Expo on September 19?  Chad from Comicreaders reached out on a thread I have up on the South Sask Wargamers page.  If not a full on-balls deep ITS event.  Even a demo with some pickup games would be a great chance to meet fellow players and drum up interest.  If you wanna hook others into your drug of choice, might as well bring it to a shooting gallery.

So I'm a terrible person, and bought into another faction already. I couldn't help myself, I'm a plastic crack addict... Be nice if I didn't paint slower then the tectonic plates, that's a different issue.
So I got the rulebook and some murder monkeys from Comic readers. Saw a Haqqislam box there too, so hopefully someone else is getting some stuff.
For the pgx I was hoping to go so I'm open to it for sure. I think we'll need some slick looking terrain to really sell it, maybe that paper stuff would be good enough
