I'm bring out the new game Elysium which was recently nominated for the Kennerspiel des Jahres in Germany. Players are demi-gods trying to earn the favour of the Olympians. But really it's a card game with some nice mechanisms at work. You use different combinations of decks of cards each time (so it can be different every time you play) that are each associated with various gods and have different powers. But you have a limited way you can take cards and the decisions you make can affect which cards you have available to you on future turns. Additionally, while cards are in your tableau you can use their powers but you don't get any points for them until they enter the "underworld" - your Elysium (I'm not sure if anyone else has played it but it's a little like Valley of the Kings in that respect). At that point they're worth points but they lose their powers.

It's a 60 minute game but with teaching it might take up to 90 minutes. It plays 4 and it's a teaching game so everyone's welcome to give it a try.

@bboileau - I'd love to join you for some tragedy looper, but I won't be in til 8:30!  Looks like a great game, a much more complicated murder-mystery version of Mastermind. Perhaps next time :)

If you want, we may be able to get in an intro game of Tragedy Looper after Ghost Stories ;)

I promised the kids I'd bring them out tonight.  They are 3 and 7 so will bring some short,kid friendly games.   If anyone else has young kids, we'd be happy to have them join in.  Although fair warning, my youngest cheats.
