If you would like to schedule a game. Please post in this event thread with the following information:
Name of the game, when you would like to start, The duration of the game, and the number of players it can accommodate.Due to the overwhelming success of ChewsDay Challenge we might need to limit table space in the early evening if attendance is high and the restaurant is busy. We ask that larger-sized games be planned for 7:30 and later after Boston Pizza's dinner rush when we can spill out into the dining area, if needed, and with the restaurant's permission. Please be considerate when choosing your table area to maximize player density. Thank you for helping make ChewsDay Challenge a success!

I am planning on bringing out and teaching Troyes, with the Ladies of Troyes expansion.
Players 4
Start time 7pm
Duration 3-3.5 hours
BGG Link https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/73439/troyes
Don't be fooled by the play time on the BGG site, we could play in that time if everybody had experience with this game.
I've had a request for Manhattan Project so I'm bringing it out this Tuesday. It's a worker placement game where players race to build the biggest atomic weapons. To do so you've got to utilize your scientists and engineers to develop your infrastructure (universities, mines, factories, etc.), build and test bombs, commit a little espionage and maybe, just maybe, air strike your opponents' facilities back to the stone age.
Please add omegadirective, Cappy Zed and BeckstaJoy - though I'd ask that everybody please confirm (I know somebody was still checking but I can't remember who). I think that leaves one spot open but if there's another person who asked to play, too, please let me know.
It takes around 120 minutes to play though it might be a little over that with teaching.

I think we should allocate 2.5 hours for Trajan just to be safe. Are you okay to start Fresco at 9:00?
Trajan +1
I know Matt just changed the time on Fresco, but it will run too late for me if it starts at 9:00, so I'm going to change the game I'm bringing. San Juan is an excellent card game with a short play time but a lot of strategery, and it's great for learning games like Puerto Rico, Glory to Rome, and Race/Roll for the Galaxy. We will play with the New Buildings expansion, but it does not add much complexity to the game - just some great options with the cards.

Is there anyone looking for a game for around 7:30? It's kinda last minute, but I'll be showing up and I can grab some stuff on my way if anyone's interested.
There are 2 newbies who are excited for zombicide Lareina.
Some times as a parent you have to make the difficult choices. I was faced with one such last night. Do I pack up and take the kids home at 8:30pm as per usual or do I let them stay to finish the epic 10-player game of Zombicide they were embroiled in at Boston Pizza last night as part of Chewsday Challenge. One part of me wanted them home and in bed so they'd be fresh-eyed for school today. The other part of me saw how engaged they were in the game-- the fun, the decisions, the white-knuckled moments as zombies staggered down the narrow prison hallway, the acceptance and support they were being given by the adults at the table-- and I had all these flashbacks of moments from my childhood where my parents broke the norm. My reasoning was they're not going to remember every single day of school, but there is a pretty good chance they're going to remember the night they and 8 others worked together to break out of prison, escape the zombies, and drive out of town to victory with a rescued dog in the passenger seat. Big thanks to Chris and Lareina for running the game, and thanks to all the players who welcomed the boys into the game.
