If you would like to schedule a game. Please post in this event thread with the following information:
Name of the game, when you would like to start, The duration of the game, and the number of players it can accommodate.Due to the overwhelming success of ChewsDay Challenge we might need to limit table space in the early evening if attendance is high and the restaurant is busy. We ask that larger-sized games be planned for 7:30 and later after Boston Pizza's dinner rush when we can spill out into the dining area, if needed, and with the restaurant's permission. Please be considerate when choosing your table area to maximize player density. Thank you for helping make ChewsDay Challenge a success!

Humourous review: http://drakesflames.blogspot.ca/2008/04/board-game-review-darjeeling.html
This is a rather entertaining game with a really interesting and clever mechanic. It's a few years old but I just got it a couple of weeks ago. Darjeeling is my favourite tea so the theme was hard to resist.
In short: you gather tea, try to batch it into like-type batches and ship it overseas for profit. The problem is that different types of teas are priced differently (and the price changes depending on how recently the tea was last shipped abroad)... and, of course, it's a challenge to gather in like-type batches. It's a really clever game, if slightly hard to find.
This will be my first playthrough outside of home so we'll be learning it together.
Please sign me up for Carson City.
I believe we have Risk Legacy night tonight! Starting at 7:30, awaiting confirmation. Two games left and the world is mine mwahahah.....errrr, someone's...

Confirming for Risk Legacy
Tempest, are you going to punch through two games of Risk on Tuesday or just the one? Just wondering how long I should put that down for on the schedule.
Hi if there is room could you please add me to Carson City and Dijarling? Hope I spelled that correctly.

I think it may be time to bring this one out again. I'll cap players at 4, and one spot is reserved for Matt Robertson if he wants it, since I promised him a game of this a while back.

Not sure, to be honest.
Please sign me up for Impulse and Village. The!
I really enjoyed the Gem-Encrusted Mini-Tourney I hosted a while back. With that in mind, I'm going to host a Pirates vs. Cowboys Gem-Encrusted Mini-Tourney. There are only two games, this time around: the pirate game Libertalia and the wild west game Colt Express. Both include gems as part of their booty/loot. I know it's a bit of a stretch but it should be fun.
Libertalia is a game of simultaneous role selection, where each player has a deck of cards representing their pirate crew. Each member of the crew has different powers and each player has access to the same cards to start. But then depending on when you play the various cards, options change more each round. You're each trying to get the most treasure but you have to be careful because booty could also curse you or lead to one of your characters getting killed.
Colt Express is a programmable action/movement game where players move their meeple cowboys around a 3-dimensional train (from car to car or up to the roof), gathering loot and messing with other players. It's fairly light but a lot of fun.
Scores for Colt Express are in the 100s or 1000s whereas points scores for Libertalia top out at 100 or lower. So we'll multiply the scores for Libertalia by 10 and add them to the Colt Express scores to get the winner. I'd also like to re-use the trophy from the previous Mini-Tourney - PhotoJim, would you mind bringing it back (Jim won the last Mini-Tourney)?
Libertalia takes 45-60 min, Colt Express takes about a 30min. With teaching each might go a little longer but not by much. So this should take 90-120min for both. And I'm going to keep it to 5 players so we don't take up too much space or go too long.

Additionally, since it's on TableTop next week (and because I haven't played it in a while), I'll host a game of Dead of Winter to end the night. It's a semi-cooperative (there might be a traitor in the colony) zombie game. But really, surviving the harsh elements and the various crises that arise are just as important as surviving the zombie hoards. Players not only have a crisis to resolve each round and an overall game goal to complete as a team by the end (unless you're a dirty traitor), but they also have a secret goal to complete on their own. There are so many great elements to this game that it's difficult to summarize. If you're not familiar with it please feel free to check out the link below (plus here's the Watch It Played - How To Play video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6la-2F6EtyM (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6la-2F6EtyM))
New players are welcome as I'll start by teaching the game. It takes around 120min or so with teaching and can play 5 players.

Yep, if you wouldn't mind, please do. Eventually we'll have a mini-tourney of champions. :D
Amber Morton for Dead of Winter please. Thank you
Put my name down for Risk Legacy League
I know a few people expressed interest when I brought this a few weeks ago, so I figured I should officilly list it and see who's I interested.
XCOM is the board game adaption of the video game of the same name. Players play cooperatively as the commander, communication specialist, squad leader, and chief scientist attempting to save the world from Alien invasion. The main mechanic is a dice rolling push-your-luck, risking resources to accomplish life saving tasks. The game also requires an app that adds time pressures to the gameplay via timed events that scale in response to the game state.
I've played this twice on easy and have yet to beat it :)

I've been wanting to play Evolution for a while now so I'll sign up for that and Darjeeling.
Sign myself and Chris up for XCom please. We just tried it last night with the 2 of us with the tutorial, you'd think that a tutorial would be in your favour...

Yeah, they don't take it easy on you. But then again, I don't trust any co-op where you win the first time playing :)
Chad, Breton and Lochlan are coming this evening. I don't know what we're bringing but it will be light, fun, and kid-friendly.
Myself, Chris and Barry will be playing Dr Shark, there is room for 3 more.

We have room for a fifth player for Darjeeling if the's the need.
Lori and I gave it a couple of play tests yesterday and found it's pretty quick and easy to learn but still has a lot of strategy to it. I quite enjoyed it.
I won't be able to make it for Xcom tonight.
Change of plans, John and I won't be making it out tonight.

There is generally a list next to the sign in page but I've added games to it before that don't get listed so I think it's just what the ambassador decides to write up.
Aah, I'll keep that in mind for next time. Thanks!
If it was played after i left it would not have been written down.
