Due to the overwhelming success of ChewsDay Challenge we might need to limit table space in the early evening if attendance is high and the restaurant is busy. We ask that larger-sized games be planned for 7:30 and later after Boston Pizza's dinner rush when we can spill out into the dining area, if needed, and with the restaurant's permission.  Please be considerate when choosing your table area to maximize player density. At 8:30 pm I'll run Acquire ( http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/5/acquire ).  This is a Sid Sackson classic created in 1962 but not released until 1964.  Thus, 2014 is the 50th anniversary of the release of this classic game.

This game really should have been super popular like Monopoly was, but for some reason it never was.  Still, the game play is really simple and yet engaging.  Build hotel chains; try to encourage timely mergers so that you can grow your capital.

We need 3-6 players and the game will take approximately 2 hours including instruction.  If you've never played, don't overlook this game merely because of its age!  It's a terrific game.

I would play acquire Jim such a classic game

At 630 we'll run Resitance with the expansion Hostile Intent. It's 5-10 players and plays for 2 hrs.(we will be playing a few different variations as the expansion adds a few modules that should be played separate before combining them)Joran and Patrick will also be playing

I would like to run Star Trek: TNG Deck building game at 730 and 900.

4 players.
90 minutes.
730: Romulan Scenario
900: Borg Scenario

Me and Jason are up for Aliens.   Hopefully we survive a little better than last time :P

Alright, I'd like to bring out Agricola for 6:30. I'd say about 2 hours, 2 and a half with teaching. I'll also be reserving my spot and two others, so there'll only be room for up to two more people.

Chris and I will be bringing out Dark Darker Darkest to play for 7:30. Barry will be joining us, so we'll have 2 more spots free. It'll take around 2 hours.

I have to pick up my mom from the airport at 6:50, so we might be late depending on if the flight is late.

I'm bringing out the "worker displacement" game Five Tribes for 8:30. It's a little heavier than most other Days of Wonder games but still not too bad. I'm happy to teach new players so everyone's welcome to give it a try. 4 players & it takes 90+ minutes (edging closer to 120 minutes if everyone's new).

So i have no experience or knowledge of any of the games at the Dec 30 Chewsday - can i still come, watch, enjoy, maybe learn a new game or two?
