If you would like to schedule a game. Please post in this event thread with the following information:
Name of the game, when you would like to start, The duration of the game, and the number of players it can accommodate.
A question I sometimes get asked when working at ComicReaders Downtown is "What games are played at Chewsday Challenge?"
I direct people to saskgames.com to see the discussion on the Chewsday Challenge forums, and sometimes I'll open up an archived event and read the list of games played the previous week. People are always surprised at the variety of games played. That variety, I think, is one of the strengths of Chewsday Challenge-- games of all sorts for all sorts of gamers.
Another question I sometimes get asked is "Does Game XYZ get played at Chewsday Challenge?" Those people are asking because they've had their eye on that game and want to try it out.
So, if there is a game on your "to play list" but you don't own it, feel free to post on a Chewsday Challenge event thread to ask if someone has it and would be willing to bring it out.
Well, in that case I would love to try Cosmic Encounters if anyone would like to bring it!
Gonna bring Russian Railroads again.
4 players.
2 hours.
830 start.
Kristy said she wanted to pl;ay Russian Railroads, so please sign her up.
I'll get in on Russian Railroads again, I enjoyed it last week. I'd also be interested in playing Euphoria if someone wants to start a game of that.
I shall run a game of Archipelago (current holder of the "my favourite game" title) for 6:30, 4 players. The game can run with 5, yes, but it changes the dynamics of the game noticeably, and for Chewsday I'd prefer the 4-player style.
Sign me up for Archipelago!
Ooh! Ooh! Archipelago please!
Please add me to Archipelago!
I could bring out Euphoria for 6:30pm. (6 players, 120 minute) I'll also join in on Russian Railroads
Sweet, sign me up for Euphoria!
Please sign me up for Russian Railroads as well
Anyone smell corn? I think it's time to offer some sacrifices to some ancient Mayan deities. By that, I mean of course, I'll be bringing out Tzolk'in (with the tribes and prophecies expansion) for 6:30 PM. Room for 3 or 4 more.

Would you be willing to run a second game? I'm on Archipelago at 6:30 but I would also enjoy Tzolk'in...
Someone must have a copy of Cosmic Encounters they'd like to bring out?
If not i might have to buy my own. :)

There's a decent chance of it. I've got the itch for it, and I've really been wanting to play it lately. Conversely I might bring something else and run it before hand and run Tzolk'in later, depending on whether or not people sign up for my currently scheduled slot. (I'm okay with either scenario, so we'll leave it as is for now.)
I will try Euphoria
In for Tzolkin.

Corporation Incorporated builds them. Everyone knows their drivers -- the brave men and women who fear no danger and would, if the pay was good enough, even fly through Hell.
Now you can join them. You will gain access to prefabricated spaceship components cleverly made from sewer pipes. Can you build a space ship durable enough to weather storms of meteors? Armed enough to defend against pirates? Big enough to carry a large crew and valuable cargo? Fast enough to get there first?

Amanda and I are bringing this out.
Plays 5 in about 90 minutes
I plan on bringing out Bridgetown Races (an intense little game of planning several moves in advance), as well as a card game or two.
Can you put me in for Euphoria as well? I think that my daughter's soccer will be cancelled due to the weather. If I am not there at 630, then start without me.
QuoteI plan on bringing out Bridgetown Races (an intense little game of planning several moves in advance)...
What time did you want to start Bridgetown Races, Bellis? The other scheduled games are filling up fast so it will be good to have Bridgetown Races on the roster as another option.

Sure Chad, how about a 7:30 pm start. It plays in about an hour and is for two to four. It looks deceptively light, but demands close attention and planning.
If there was enough interest, I'd be perfectly happy to just teach and moderate the game.

This year they have chosen Portland, Oregon USA.
Players - using bicycles, motorcycles, taxis, buses, automobiles, the street car and sometimes their own two feet - try to be the first to cross each bridge and capture its flag. Be the first to capture a flag from every bridge, and you win the race!
Each round, players arrange for transportation by placing coordinators on the transportation mode or special action of their choice. Next, the players choose a transportation mode and move their racer through the streets, trying to be the first to cross a bridge and pick up its flag. The flag is placed on the player's Bridge Completion card and the first person to collect all eight flags wins the race.

Poop, should have posted earlier to remind Barry about myself and Chris bringing Bioshock Infinite tonight :excited
Hmm we could play it after Bridgetown Races. Sign myself and Chris up for that please :) Then we'll do Bioshock afterwards, hopefully (I don't know if Chris has to work at 3am again or not tonight).
