Robinson Crusoe: Adventure on the Cursed Island takes the players to a deserted island, where they'll play the parts of shipwreck survivors confronted by an extraordinary adventure. They'll be faced with the challenges of building a shelter, finding food, fighting wild beasts, and protecting themselves from weather changes. Building walls around their homes, animal domestication, constructing weapons and tools from what they find and much more awaits them on the island. The players decide in which direction the game will unfold and – after several in-game weeks of hard work – how their settlement will look. Will they manage to discover the secret of the island in the meantime? Will they find a pirate treasure, or an abandoned village? Will they discover an underground city or a cursed temple at the bottom of a volcano? Answers to these questions lie in hundreds of event cards and hundreds of object and structure cards that can be used during the game...

I'll run a game of Robinson Crusoe at 8:00.  It's a co-op that accommodates 4 players that, according to the box, should take 2 hours.  With rules explanation, I'm guessing it would wrap up at 10:30.

EDIT: I changed the start time from 6:30 to 8:00 so it doesn't conflict with Space Alert.

Players become crew members of a small spaceship scanning dangerous sectors of galaxy. The missions last just 10 real-time minutes (hyperspace jump, sector scan, hyperspace jump back) and the only task the players have is to protect their ship.

On 2 CDs (or Scenario cards if you don't have a CD player available) are ten minute long soundtracks that represent central computer announcements about the presence of various threats. These vary from space battleships and interceptors to different interstellar monsters and abominations, asteroids or even intruders and malfunctions on the spaceship. Players have to agree who will take care of which task and coordinate their actions (moving around the ship, firing weapons, distributing energy, using battlebots to deal with intruders, launching guided missiles, etc.) in real time to defend the ship. Only a well-working team can survive 10 minutes and make the jump back to safety.

The game offers several difficulty levels, huge variability and a unique experience for one to five player teams. One mission lasts only about 30 minutes, including setup and evaluation.

Crikey, I might move it to the first week in october, because Chris said this Tuesday doesn't work either for him. As always, I want to accommodate as many people as possible, so I'll let everyone chime in.

Please sign me up for Robinson Crusoe, read about it on BGG and it seems like an interesting game to learn.

I'd like to run a big game of The Resistance. Takes at least five and up to ten. I'd like to go through about three times so should be about 90 minutes.

By destroying their key bases, we will shatter Imperial strength and liberate our people. Yet spies have infiltrated our ranks, ready for sabotage. We must unmask them. In five nights we reshape destiny or die trying. We are the Resistance!

The Resistance is a party game of social deduction. It is designed for five to ten players, lasts about 30 minutes, and has no player elimination. The Resistance is inspired by Mafia/Werewolf, yet it is unique in its core mechanics which increase the resources for informed decisions, intensify player interaction, and eliminate player elimination.

Players are either Resistance Operatives or Imperial Spies. For three to five rounds, they must depend on each other to carry out missions against the Empire. At the same time, they must try to deduce the other players' identities and gain their trust. Each round begins with discussion. When ready, the Leader entrusts sets of Plans to a certain number of players (possibly including himself/herself). Everyone votes on whether or not to approve the assignment. Once an assignment passes, the chosen players secretly decide to Support or Sabotage the mission. Based on the results, the mission succeeds (Resistance win) or fails (Empire win). When a team wins three missions, they have won the game.

My name is Dyson Yobb and I am self publishing a boardgame using the idiegogo crowdfunding platform. See the campaign here:  www.indiegogo.com/projects/nation-the-civ-card-game

My game is called Nation: A MIGHTY Spark. It is a worker placement civilization card game where 2 to 4 players can play, vying to have the most victory points at the end of the game. Worker tokens are placed on a map cards to:
A. Play cards from your hand that give unique and sometimes game changing abilities and resources.
B. Build up towns which give you victory points and  have placed in their nation.
C. Explore new map areas to annex tribes or obtain more civilians.
D. Battle other players to to overthrow their towns or remove their civilian cards

A game can take from half an hour to an hour and is fairly easy to learn.

I would like to playtest the prototype copy of my game. Starting at 7:30 and again at 8:30. I hope you can join me!

I went ahead and removed Formula D from the scheduled games list; I need to hear from a couple more people, but it sounds like the first of October is looking better for everyone.

I might go ahead and bust out some Small World at 6:30 if people are interested!

I plan on being there and would like to try Nation:A Mighty Spark. However, I also have a personal commitment for a few hours tomorrow but at the moment don't know exactly when that will be. So, assuming I can make it out to CC, I hope to be part of one of the play test sessions. (I'll be hopeful that an opening will still be left, although quite mindful that it is a first come first served situation.)
