*** ChewsDay Challenge ***

What: The ChewsDay Challenge series of events is part of an initiative to host a public weekly game night that is welcoming to new members and is a way for people new to boardgames to experience a beginner friendly atmosphere. A opportunity for people new to designer board games or veterans of the hobby to come out, meet 'n' greet, and play some games. This is held at a great location with full food and beverage service. Come on out and try some games.
The venue is also a great place for Wargamers and Strategy Gamers to come out and play a game. There are some titles that are hard to get to the table, let's try to get them the attention they deserve at a ChewsDay Challenge. Where: North Albert St. Boston Pizza (Regina) (http://sask.games/index.php?topic=2043.0)
When: Every ChewsDay night of course, see date on this post for this particular event. Who: Anyone interested in playing boardgames. The venue is suitable for many different styles of games: (Wargames, Euro Games, Crokinole, Chess, Go, Scrabble, Backgammon, etc.) Why: Life is Short; Play Games!
Although not necessary, we urge you to post in this thread if you are coming and what games you might bring or would like to play. Prearranging some games helps get some of the harder titles to the table. Perhaps you have seen someone post about a game in THIS THREAD (http://sask.games/index.php?topic=1799.0), this might be an opportunity to get them to bring out the game and show you. If you are new to the gaming scene in the City of Regina, come on out and meet some others. Feel free to come a bit early and grab a bite to eat. See you there!!! :excited
Every ChewsDay Challenge, we will have a Game Host on site to teach a game. This is a great way for new players to experience a game in a beginner friendly environment. The Weekly Game will be set up at 6:15pm and players are urged to be there for 6:30. The feature game will start at 6:45pm. Note: A number of us go early (5ish) to grab a bite to eat, you are welcome to join us.Without further adieu, here is the Game Host of the week:

Ooh, never heard of Alien Frontiers before, but it sounds cool. I think I'll see if I can get my brother to lend me Forbidden Island, though. That's a good--and quick--one that I think people would enjoy.

If there is enough interest in Alien Frontiers I can ask Matt to bring his copy and we can have 2 four player games going. So please post so we can judge interest.
Can Logan get in on the games?
Both games? Alien Frontier and Tichu?
Sure. If I could
Oo, oo!, pick me for Tichu!...I want to learn Tichu! Please pick me! :neener

There is room in Alien Frontiers, but not Tichu. Tichu is full. :(
QuoteTichu is full.
Anyone one have a copy of Tichu in their personal collection? Seems like there might be enough players for a second, concurrent game...

We have two decks. If we get 3 more players we can roll.
I would like to bring Castles of Burgundy out on the 16th if there are people interested in playing. I am looking for 3 other people to commit to an 8:00pm start.

If Tichu does not pull through, then I'll get in some Castles of Burgundy, please and thank you. And if that doesn't happen, I guess I can play some Alien Frontiers. :D

Sure.
I'm not too sure what game I want to join, but I'll be there regardless. I'll probably bring Smallworld and Formula D, perhaps also Munchkin Quest.
I'm down for castles of Burgundy, Matt.
And I'd like to get in on Alien Frontiers, if there turns out to be enough people for two games.
Thanks Dana,
I can't wait for you to Tichme Tichu. Ha ha. (Good one Zirk.)
